What AutoCAD LT doesn't include

AutoCAD LT is a stripped-down product — at the same price as owning progeCAD forever.

AutoCAD LT costs $540 every year — the same as progeCAD one-time. You get 2D drafting only, no 3D, no perpetual option, and no way to ever own it. progeCAD includes everything LT has, adds full 3D modeling and complete scripting, and you own it permanently.

Full 3D solid modeling
AutoCAD LT is 2D only — no 3D solids, no surfaces, no rendering. progeCAD includes a complete 3D solid and surface modeling environment. Build, edit, and visualize 3D models without upgrading to a more expensive product.
AutoLISP & VBA scripting
AutoCAD LT now includes basic AutoLISP, but lacks full VBA and .NET API support. progeCAD supports the full AutoLISP language, VBA macros, and the COM/ActiveX API — the complete scripting stack for automation and third-party add-ons.
Perpetual license
AutoCAD LT has no perpetual option — Autodesk eliminated it in 2021. It's subscription or nothing. progeCAD is a perpetual license: pay once, own it indefinitely. No annual renewal, no risk of losing access if you stop paying.
